5 Steps to Developing Your Support System

Association A

Who Are You Hanging Out With?

Continuous growth warrants new changes. Sometimes you have to grow out of the people you are hanging out with. Surround yourself with family, friends and associates who are in direct alignment with our goals. You don’t have time for the negative ninnies.

Write down the names of the people you are surrounded with on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on the style sheet following this page.

Enter how often you hang out with them: daily, weekly or monthly. Rate them between 1 and 5.
1 – These people are not in alignment with you, your life or business goals. They are constantly putting you and your business down. They are naysayers.
2 – These people are sometimes in alignment with you, when it is convenient for them.
3 – These people are neutral. They really could care less if you succeed or not.
4 – For the most part these people care about you and are happy for your success. But, they are not trying to do anything for themselves.
5 – Like you these people are always seeking growth for themselves and support you as well; they are like-minded; within your industry; experienced entrepreneurs and you can learn so much from them.

Now think about which people you really want to be around while you pursue the journey to entrepreneurship. Be prepared and surround yourself with as many supportive people as you possibly can to drown out the negative noise.
